About Freemasonry
Freemasonry is a unique organisation that has thrived for over three centuries.
It provides a framework for personal growth and self-improvement while promoting fellowship and service to others.
Members are encouraged to cultivate our core values of integrity, friendship, respect and service.
We have no political or religious affiliations, and we comprise members of all ages, races, religions, cultures, and come from all professional and social backgrounds.

Freemasonry is one of the country’s largest contributors to charitable causes, donating almost £1 million per week.
The organisation emphasises the importance of giving back to the community through charitable activities and volunteer work. Freemasons dedicate both their time and resources to make a difference to local and global organisations.
Some of our notable recent projects include providing significant funding to purchase two new London Air Ambulance helicopters, blood bikes, and emergency response vehicles, including two super aerial platforms for the London Fire Brigade.
Our full range of charitable work can be found at the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
Teddies for Loving Care is a way of providing much-needed comfort to children in A&E departments, helping to reduce the shock and distress of their experience.
Lifelites works with children’s palliative care services throughout the British Isles by providing packages of assistive technology for children with life-limiting conditions.
Look closely and you will see the ‘Square and Compass’ on a range of emergency vehicles which have been donated by our fundraising.
